Highlights
- Lifted daily payment success 3–4× at Tokopedia (from under 10% to 30–40%); promoted to Senior.
- Led a Go + MySQL migration at AnekaPay: 14 services into 6, estimated infrastructure cost roughly halved.
- Grew Delos Aqua engineering from 3 to 25 with a metrics-driven review framework and zero review-time complaints.
- Built and led a 12-engineer team across three countries at Shipper; Honeywell-integrated WMS at 99.99% uptime.
- Shipped FitScore and a multi-doctor chat platform at Halodoc as EM of 10, at 100% SLA compliance.
- Lead a seven-engineer squad at EngageRocket and own the company engineering competency framework; cleared a ~650-ticket backlog with an AI-assisted triage pipeline.
Experience
Engineering Manager
EngageRocket
Jun 2026 – Present
Singapore (remote)
- Engineering Manager for the Survey squad of an HR-tech SaaS platform: seven engineers plus QA and DevOps partners, reporting to the CTO for technical scope and the COO for people. Hired for one squad, now carrying company-level engineering work alongside it.
- Designed the engineering competency framework for the company: tiers, criteria, and an AI-augmented engineering dimension, owned end to end with CTO and COO approval. Drove the company AI-usage baseline under the CTO, measuring real adoption before setting any bar.
- Took over squad delivery when the planning ritual lapsed: restored on-time sprint close and planning with honest reporting, then took ownership of clearing a ~650-ticket backlog, including neglected tech debt and aging high-priority work, through an AI-assisted triage pipeline.
- Drove the authentication and MFA project and used it to remove a single-owner bus factor: routed design and execution to two engineers who had never owned the domain, with the previous sole owner as advisor, and set the slower start with stakeholders up front so the timeline held.
- Coached the squad on AI-augmented engineering day to day: working sessions, review of AI output, and direction per engineer, tracked against measured usage rather than stated usage.
- Drove automation where the bottleneck was structural, not effort. QA capacity was the constraint on test automation, so the plan uses AI on both sides: lighten the manual load on QA and draft the automation itself. Applied the same lens at company level to duplicated manual reporting across teams and gaps in operational and continuity processes.
- Own security and compliance workstreams at company scope: ran the annual external security-testing cycle and prepared the engineering material for external technical review.
Independent
Freelance & Advisory
Feb 2026 – Jun 2026
Jakarta, Indonesia (remote)
- Freelance software engineering engagements across backend and full-stack work.
- Hands-on exploration of AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
Career break
Family & personal
Oct 2025 – Feb 2026
Jakarta, Indonesia
- A planned pause to focus on family and personal matters, and to get hands-on with the shift in how software gets built, studying modern AI-assisted and agentic development.
Engineering Manager
Halodoc
Mar 2025 – Oct 2025
South Jakarta, Indonesia
- Launched FitScore, a feature quantifying users' health conditions, adopted by ~5% of Halodoc users (tens of thousands of people) and seeding a multi-year product roadmap built around it.
- Designed and shipped an extended, multi-doctor chat system on existing infrastructure, lifting session-length limits and enabling collaborative patient care, used by 5,000+ users.
- Introduced an AI-augmented PRD analysis workflow, taking the team from manual feasibility scans to working prototypes before a line of production code.
- Mentored a team of 10 engineers and SDETs through structured technical guidance, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Monitored and resolved user tickets and complaints, maintaining 100% SLA compliance.
Technical Advisor
AnekaPay
Jul 2024 – Feb 2025
Kediri, Indonesia
- Led the migration of microservices from Node.js + MongoDB to Go + MySQL (architecture, migration strategy, business continuity plan, and disaster recovery framework), consolidating 14 services into 6 and roughly halving estimated infrastructure cost.
- Mentored and guided a team of five engineers running AnekaPay's core systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Acted as technology consultant, assessing feasibility of new business ideas and expansions, aligning technology with business goals.
Engineering Manager
Delos Aqua
Jan 2022 – Jul 2024
South Jakarta, Indonesia
- Grew the engineering organisation from 3 to 25 engineers across multiple teams: hiring, org structure (three team leads and a principal engineer reporting in), and a culture of autonomy and shared knowledge.
- Designed a metrics-driven performance-review framework (story points, rework rate, deployment success, code reviews, technical debt, innovation). Zero complaints across two years, with transparent dashboards and no review-time surprises.
- Led ISO 27001 gap remediation across all Delos Aqua departments: partnered with external auditors, identified gaps, and drove fixes company-wide.
- Stood up data governance covering structure, storage safety, and accessibility across the organisation.
Software Engineer Lead
Shipper
Nov 2020 – Jan 2022
South Jakarta, Indonesia
- Hired to build the team from the ground up, grew it from 3 to 12 engineers across Indonesia, India, and China, running hiring end to end.
- Personally architected the integration layer between Shipper's WMS and Honeywell's inventory and fulfillment platform; led the single-warehouse POC and gradual rollout to 3–5 live warehouses at 99.99% uptime, within a ~300-warehouse network moving 40–60k orders/day.
- Led the China-based sub-team that reverse-engineered and modified Honeywell's WMS directly, working across languages and companies.
- Delivered on time despite constantly churning integration contracts and APIs: aggressive scoping, incremental versioning, gradual rollout.
Senior Software Engineer
Tokopedia
Oct 2018 – Nov 2020
South Jakarta, Indonesia
- Owned the subscription system: took over an intern-built MVP and revamped it end to end (backend and UI, with frontend and design). Daily payment success rose 3–4×, from under 10% to 30–40%, with test coverage pushed to 85%.
- Integrated OVO as a subscription payment method as it became Tokopedia's primary wallet; eliminated internal server errors with systematic retries; shipped payment-expiry notifications and top-up nudges.
- Tribe champion for the org-wide canary deployment rollout: documentation, knowledge transfer, and deployment monitoring across every squad in the tribe.
- Initiated Monitoring-as-Code (versioned Grafana dashboard configs); authored the onboarding curriculum for new backend engineers. Promoted to Senior.
Software Engineer
Astragraphia IT
Oct 2017 – Oct 2018
Central Jakarta, Indonesia
- Full-stack development on Java and Kotlin across three legacy enterprise systems, including a logistics/warehouse system serving ~100 users, with 200–300 enterprise users in total at ~95% uptime.
- Drafted the team's DevOps adoption plan (Jenkins, rolling deployments, protected branches, enforced pull requests and unit tests) to replace fully manual deployments.
